My grandmother used to make #vetkoek #amagwinya for us all the time, especially during the winter months in Cape Town. I remember having it straight out of the hot oil with a spread of butter and a dollop of apricot jam.
This month, I am proud to celebrate National Vetkoek Day and National Amagwinya Day with Olive Pride, where I now have an opportunity to make my favourite vetkoek and amagwinya and its yummy fillings.
