The Elita Restaurant in Galle is close to the Galle Fort in Sri Lanka, and this is where I met Sanju. Her brother owns the restaurant, which is situated on Middle Street, a quaint little place that serves the freshest seafood in town! It’s here where Sanju teaches her cooking class. Her hubby is so proud of her; you can see his face light up when the cooking and teaching start. I’ve discovered that Srilankans are the friendliest people on earth, and when they welcome you with “Aah-yu-boh-wahn”, the official greeting in their beautiful country, they really do mean “may you live long”.
